Developmental Training – SouthSTAR Services’ Developmental Training Program offers a wide array of weekday programs for adults with developmental disabilities to meet the individual needs of each participant.  By providing a structured setting, individuals attending our Developmental Training Programs have the opportunity to increase their vocational proficiency, earn a wage while interacting with peers and the community at large. In addition, participants are given the opportunity to reach their full potential by practicing academic skills such as reading, time telling and money management.  The program also offers opportunities for leisure and recreational activities to help build social awareness and survival skills.

In an effort to provide a blend of instruction, vocational services and activities, an individual service plan is developed with input from the SouthSTAR staff, each individual and their support system.  This service plan ensures that the services provided to each participant are based on their interests and abilities.
